Backend Development

Learn to build the server-side logic, databases, and APIs that power every modern application - no experience needed.

10–14 weeks
Online & In-Person

Programme Overview

Our Backend Development programme takes participants from zero to job-ready with a structured, practical curriculum covering the server-side technologies that power websites, apps, and digital services. From Python and Node.js to databases, APIs, and cloud deployment, every session is hands-on and grounded in real-world scenarios. Participants leave with working projects, a portfolio, and genuine confidence to pursue a career in software development.

Backend development is the engine of every digital product - the code that handles data, logic, authentication, and communication behind the scenes. This programme gives participants a solid foundation in backend programming, database design, RESTful API development, and deployment, using the most in-demand languages and frameworks in the UK job market. No prior coding experience is required. Participants progress from the fundamentals through to building and deploying real backend applications.

No experience needed. This programme is free, inclusive, and designed for people with no prior background in the subject. We welcome everyone, especially those from underserved and digitally excluded communities.
